Cheap ass games, weekend deals

You're cheap! I know you are. You know you are. Why fight it? You cling to that dollar like a two-bit whore looking for crack. And hey, we know the feeling. So here is our brief run down of where to get the best PC gaming deals this weekend.

Sales are a bit slow at the moment. I figure everyone is gearing up for the Christmas season, but here are a few notable sales worth looking into.

Direct2Drive.com

For U.S. customers, Direct2Drive has a few deals going on this weekend. Most noteworthy, at least in my eyes, is the Max Payne Collection, which includes Max Payne and Max Payne 2. Great games and for only $3.75. This deal is also available on the U.K. side of the pond for £2.50.

You can also look for Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare (sorry, I hate this game but I have to post it) for $14.95, Section 8 Prejudice for $8.95, Mercenaries 2 World in Flames for $3.95 (buggy but fun and certainly worth $3.95), and World in Conflict Gold Edition for $7.95. Run over to Steam right now and you can snag a copy of Fable III for a measly $16.99. And although the DLC for this game is nearly worthless to me, that's on sale as well.

Or if casual indie games are more your style, you can always pick up Universe Sandbox for $4.99. This sale will only last for the next 18 hours or so.

I can't say I'm impressed by GOG's sales this weekend, but their 50% off Activision sale shows one bright spot. SWAT 3 can be picked up for $7.49. Simply put, this is one of my all-time favorite tactical shooters. Or of course you could buy the entire Activision 6-pack for $23.94.

If you want to get a little sport into your weekend, Amazon has NBA 2K12 at 20% off ($23.99). It's not a spectacular sale mind you, but the game is worth it.

If a little RPG action is more your flavor this weekend, you might want to consider picking up the King's Bounty Collection. Each game is on sale for DIRT CHEAP! Just like you like it.
