Rage, the showpiece for id Software’s new idtech 5 engine and megatexture technology, is a solid, engaging shooter, but as everyone knows, the PC version was marred with problems on release. However, I’ve slogged my way through the singleplayer campaign and can safely say the game is good, but it wasn’t without its problems and the technology behind it is rather lacking.

Hard Reset is a game I had been looking forward to since I saw the first screenshot a few months ago. A cyperpunk first-person shooter from some of the guys that made Painkiller? I was on board immediately. So does the game meet expectations? You know what you have to do to find out. Click that little red link below.

Dead Island was the game that promised a brutal, gory zombie apocalypse from the comfort of your black leather executive chair. It promised melee action and zombie slaughter by the truckload. So does the game live up to its promises?

Hunted The Demon’s Forge is a new third-person dungeon crawler that heavy on action but light on loot. I’d like to tell you what I think of it in this one paragraph, but I’m bound by contract (signed in blood mind you) to make you click the little Read More link below. So...I guess...click the link? And I will use words upon words to explain my feelings on Hunted.

Ah, Homefront. You wanted to be Call of Duty so badly that you copied nearly everything from that series. Now, here we are, together at last, and all I can say is...you really let me down. You
copied Call of Duty so perfectly that you also turned out to be a mediocre shooter. Alas, my heart does not flutter for you. It doesn’t even skip a beat.
Homefront wanted to be the COD killer, but now that the game has arrived, it seems to fall flat on its face. If there is one thing Kaos Studios and THQ failed to realize in their attempt to cash
in on the ridiculous, over-the-top, war-themed first-person shooter genre is this, COD fans will never accept a copy as an equal, no matter how similar. (Disclaimer: This review will cover the
single-player campaign of Homefront...all three hours of it.)

Red Faction Armageddon is a hard game to review. There are so many good things in this game that I loved and want to see more of, then there is that little devil on my shoulder that chimes in with, “Guerilla was better.” I want to look over and shout, “Fuck you!” But he's right.
Red Faction Guerilla was the kind of game that people seemed to either love or hate. I was one of the former. I couldn't get enough of the great open world and the brilliant destruction. That's why as much fun as I have with Armageddon, it somehow still lets me down.
